Thomas C. Fuller, of Fayetteville and Raleigh, N.C., was a merchant, Confederate congressman, and justice of the United States Court of Private Land Claims dealing with territory acquired from Mexico, 1891-1901. The collection includes family letters from Fuller; a manuscript copy of a speech by him, 1859; and clippings of articles he wrote about Mexico.

Thomas C. Fuller (1832-1901), was the son of Thomas Fuller, a merchant in Fayetteville, N.C., and Catherine Raboteau Fuller. He attended the University of North Carolina and later became a merchant and practicioner of law in Fayetteville. During the Civil War, he served in the Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry and also as a member of the Confederate Congress.
